New Video: Nina
Hello my dears! 😻
Friday has arrived and with it my new video - “Nina”! This is the third track from my upcoming EP ‘Live Recordering, Vol. 2’ , and the one I’m the most thrilled to share with you so far.
You know how much I love writing melancholic songs, but for this one I went all out in the opposite direction. I usually write music starting from the harmony, letting my fingers find their way on the piano, and sometimes I end up with a very non-user-friendly key when I finally try to play it on the recorder. For some reason I never change the original key I wrote the song in (this is a really dumb unexplainable rule I have for myself) so here I got “stuck” with some very bizarre fingerings, but I kind of like struggling a bit for every note :) Making big movements on the tiny recorder is fun.
You’ll also hear a peculiar effect on my leopard recorder, as well as some overdubbed recorder harmonies I added later in the song because there’s no such thing as too much harmony or too much recorder - not in my book, anyway 😜
