Hi my dear friends,
I’m happy to share with you the last video from my new EP ‘Live Recordering, Vol. 1’.
This is the final movement from Bach Partita BWV 1013, originally for flute. I studied this piece as a teenager with my beloved teacher Bracha Kol.
Bracha, who received me as a very young student with open arms and an open heart, with care and dedication unlike any other person I know, is probably the main reason why I am a musician today. Over the 13 years with her she taught me not only how to play this instrument, but how to discover myself through music, to express everything I could never find words for through sound. With her I learned to love music so deeply that it seems like every single note from every piece we worked on is stored in my memory forever.
Bracha wouldn’t let anyone put me down or dim the light in me, despite some people in high positions telling me I’m not conforming enough. She never let anyone make me feel small or wrong, and from her I learned - there is no such thing. She taught me how to be a teacher myself and how to see the world in every student, in every musician, in every human.
With this I’m finalizing the release of this EP, and I’d like to thank you for being with me on this journey! There is another live EP coming out soon and I’m looking forward to sharing it with you as well.
